Itinerary
Between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM, we depart from Huaraz to the picturesque Huaylas Valley, beginning our journey in the charming town of Carhuaz. Here, we'll enjoy a tasting of artisanal ice cream made with local fruits and explore the church and town square. Continuing our trip, we make a stop at the cemetery of Yungay (Ranrahirca – Yungay), where we visit the city buried by the 1970 earthquake and ascend to the viewpoint of Cristo Blanco (white Christ statue) to appreciate the panoramic view.
Following our itinerary, we head to the stunning Llanganuco Lagoon (Chinancocha at 12,631 feet a.s.l.). This turquoise-colored lagoon is surrounded by Queñuales forests and flanked by the majestic peaks of Huandoy, Yanapaccha, and Huascarán, creating a dreamlike landscape.
After exploring the beauty of Llanganuco Lake, we descend to enjoy a delicious lunch at a local tourist restaurant. Finally, we begin our journey back to Huaraz, making our last stop in the charming town of Taricá, where we observe the crafting of clay-based handicrafts before concluding our tour in the Huaraz city.
