Inca Uyo, also known as the Temple of Fertility, is named after the phallic sculptural constructions found within the complex. Two of these sculptures stand at the entrance to Inca Uyo, and around eighty more are distributed in the interior areas of the palace.

Waru Waru is an ancient agricultural practice commonly used in floodable or flooded areas on the high plateau. It involves "pulling" earth to create a platform or "bed" surrounded by water, where crops are planted. The water around Waru Waru creates a microclimate that mitigates the effects of frost, enabling crop development.
