Itinerary
Upon arrival at Iquitos Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your selected hotel. You'll have a free afternoon to explore on your own, followed by dinner (not included).
You'll start the day with breakfast at the hotel and then head to the Bellavista NANAY dock. From here, embark on an exciting journey along the NANAY River, visiting the Boras ethnic group and immersing yourself in their culture and folk dances. Then, cruise along the majestic Amazon River for 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach our Lodge on the right bank of the river. After settling into comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, enjoy lunch followed by relaxation time in the hammock area.
The day continues with a visit to the Butterfly House and the riverside village to learn about butterflies and local customs. Back at the Lodge, you'll have dinner and then participate in an exciting night excursion to search for tarantulas and listen to the jungle's nocturnal sounds. Afterward, the rest in your room.
At 6:00 AM, you'll wake up to witness the sunrise and spot exotic birds. After breakfast, you'll visit the Animal Rescue Center and the Amazonian sugar cane mill. Then, on a traditional boat, search for the Pink and Gray Dolphins and have the opportunity to swim in the Amazon River. After lunch, enjoy Piranha fishing and other fish species. You'll bserve the Amazonian sunset before returning to the Lodge for dinner and listen to fascinating jungle stories and myths. Spend the night at the Lodge.
After breakfast, you'll embark on a botanical walk to learn about the jungle's flora and fauna, including giant trees and medicinal plants. Then, you'll visit the indigenous Yaguas tribe, participating in their dances, and learning about their culture and hunting techniques. After lunch, you'll return to the city of Iquitos at 5:30 PM. You will be transferred to your hotel and have the evening free for dinner (not included).
You'll have free time in the morning to explore the city or participate in optional tours, depending on your flight schedule. At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport, marking the end of this unforgettable adventure in the Amazon rainforest.
